Following our successful exhibition on the work of Katja Meirowsky in autumn 2022, we are delighted that the work of the painter, graphic artist and poet is now being honoured at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Palma de Mallorca.

The Es Baluard Museu d'Art Modern i Contemporani in Palma de Mallorca is presenting works by the artist in a representative solo show entitled The Red Action and the Membrane from 31 May to 25 August 2024.

In 1953, Katja Meirowsky (1920-2012) left Berlin with her husband Karl Meirowsky and chose Ibiza, a multicultural centre and neighbouring island of Mallorca, as her new home. With a new approach and a new perspective, the exhibition illustrates the reasons for the fascination of Katja Meirowsky's life's work, which extends into the 21st century.
